' 332.60 <br /> A C Mat~ew,~. 25~.80 <br />Sald bids were~referred to the Street Co~,mlttee for report and~ it recommended <br />the bid of A C Nathews, at $253.~0, and, on motion, the report of .m~ch Committee <br />was unanimously adopted and the Mayor and ~ec,)rder {~ere tn.~tr~eted to enter into <br />a contract with such successful bidder for ~uch improvement work. <br /> <br /> The report of L.G. Helterllne,.gllk Inspecto. r,was' read and ordered fll~'d. <br /> <br /> - W J Clark 'presented a petition for the Goon%il for per~is,~lon to out the <br />curb' in front of Lot 7.8, 'ln Foster~s Addition, Said matter was referred to, the <br />City Engineer. <br /> <br /> A petit.lo~ was received from N L Handshush for the construe~ion of a cement <br />sidewalk in front of Lots 7 and 9, Block 15, James ~uddleston.'s kktended Addi- <br />tion. Such matter was referred te the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> 'A petitio~ was received aa.king that 13th Avenue fron Monroe Street to <br />Adams Street be paved. Said matter was referred to the Street Co~.~,~ittee, which <br />recommended such petition be granted, 0a motlen such report w~ unanimously <br />adopted. _ <br /> <br /> ~red E Smith appeared and asked that .his wiles property on Villard Street, or. <br />w~lch a proposed assessment is being levied, be segreg~,ted ~n the lle~ docket to <br />cover several tracts. Such request was granted.. <br /> <br /> A claim for d.~nages was received from W B Nlkesell for $50.00 for repairs <br />to automobile caused by it over turning in the Amazon on LincoLn Street. Such <br />matter was referred to the Judiciary Co~nlttee ~d the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Aerial permits were issued to E R M~ank, for an aerial at 345 ~th Avenue <br />and to W A Hanson at 164,5 Mill Street. <br /> <br /> A petition was received to vacate a portion of Railroad Avenue ,just west <br />of Van Buren Street, which petition ~as granted and the ~ecorder was dlreeted <br />to give proper notice for a- hearing of saldp etltloa on December 14,1925. <br /> <br />The Ma~r at this time appointed the following men. as members of the Budget <br /> <br />Coromit.t ce: <br /> · W.T. A Hardy <br /> <br /> A representative of the Southern Pacific ~y. Co. appeared and protested the <br />proposed a~sessment against such raiiroad on Villard. Street fqr the reason such <br />tract of ground is being used for a street and should be appropriated to street <br />use andpald for by.the Clty._ Such protest was temporarily over ruled, but ~uch <br />company promised the matter would be considered and an equitable adjustment made. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance ievying assessment for improving the alley between llth and <br />12th Aves. West, beginning at Van -ouren Street. and running to Jackson Street, <br />having been read the first time on October 21,192~, and registered no,lee given <br />and all protests having been over ruled, it passed its second and third re~ilngs <br />by title by unanimous consent under suspension of the rule and was p~eed on <br />~ts f~al pass~e.
