<br /> Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the City Council held Pebruary 23rd,
<br />1926, at 7;30 etclock P.M. There not being a quorum present, those in attend-
<br />ance adjourned said meeting until Pebruary 24th, 1926, at 5;00 ct clock

<br /> Minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Common Council held Mebruary 24th,
<br />1926, at 5';00 o'clock P.M.. The Mayor and all members of the Council were pre-
<br />sent· Me,ting called to order by the Mayor at 5;000 'clock P.M.
<br />
<br /> Bids on two street flushars, one of 600 gallon capacity at $1445.00, and
<br />one i200 gallon capacity wltlh trailer at $2775.00 were 'offered by the Howard
<br />Coope~ Corporation. Such bids were laid over for further consideration.
<br />
<br /> On motion, the Street Co~nlttee recommended that the City purchase one
<br />Chevrolet pick-up truck ~ith box, at $695·00, and one ford roadster at $475.65,
<br />for the use of the Street Department. The roll was called, Those voting aye,
<br />Washburne, Large, McCully, Rugh and Hendershott, "nay" Wllllamson and Lamb.

<br /> On motion, the Chairman of the Pollo, Committee recommended~'~hat the clty

<br />Said motion was declared Passed.

<br /> Councilman Wllli~son, reco~ended that the purchas~g of the Asphalt mixer
<br />and motor be taken up at a later meeting of the council, as the~Street DepartL
<br />merit la not Ina hurry for acid equipment. 0n motion, acid feces,halation was
<br />declared passed.

<br /> Aa Ordinance levylng assessments for the grading and gravelling of the alley
<br />be{ween Onyx and Emerald Sts. From 2Otb' to 21s5 Avenues, in the City of kMgene,
<br />having been read the First time on2ebruary 8,1926, and registered notice gives
<br />and all protests over ruled, it passed its second and third readings by title
<br />by unanimous consent under suspension of the rule and~wa~ placed on its final
<br />sage. The ayes and nays were call,t, all presen~ voting aye. Nay none. The 0rd
<br />nance was declared passed and numbered 5224.

<br /> An Ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of $__ .of
<br />Improvement Bonds of the City of E~gene, was read the first time and passed
<br />its second and third readings by title by unanimous con.~ent under suspension
<br />of the r~le and was placed on its final passage. The ayes and nays were call-
<br />ed all present voting aye. Nay none. The Ordinance was declared passed and
<br />nm~bered 5225.

<br />Councilman Simmons was excused from the meeting at this time.
<br />
<br /> The 0rdinanee regulating the conduct, of rooms in which are conducted games
<br />of pool, billiards, cards, bowling and slmlliar amusements for hire or profit,
<br />and providing a license and permit fo'~- operating the same and restricting the
<br />area in which the same may be conducted within the city, was discussed for and
<br />against by W.R. Wallace and others· On motion s$1d.~0rdlnance was laid over The
