ATTACHMENT B <br /> <br />City Manager Proposed Performance Review <br />Compensation Adjustment <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to section 5 of the amended Employment Agreement, the City Manager’s salary shall be <br />adjusted as provided below unless the Council determines that the City’s budget situation is sufficiently <br />ominous that no merit or deferred compensation increase should be made. Any adjustment pursuant to <br />Section 5 and this Exhibit shall be in addition to any cost of living adjustment provided by section 4.2 of <br />the Employment Agreement. <br /> <br />Calculation of value of ratings: <br /> <br /># of raters X value of each rating category added together = overall value (Values: successful = 1, good = 2 <br /> <br />and excellent = 3.) <br /> <br />Overall value divided by # of participants= Weighted average <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Weighted average % increase <br />range <br />1-1.5 0% <br />1.6-2.5 3.5% <br />2.6-3 5% <br /> <br /> Example: <br />Successful ratings = 3 3 X 1=3 <br />Good ratings = 4 4 X 2=8 <br />Excellent ratings = 2 2 X 3=6 Total=17 divided by 9 respondents = 1.8 <br /> <br />Compensation increase would be 3.5% based on the table above <br /> <br /> <br />Additionally, the annual deferred compensation would be adjusted as follows, as long as performance has <br />a rated average of 1.6 to 3: <br /> <br />July 1, 2011 - +$2,000 <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 2012 - +$2,000 <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 2013 - +$3,000 <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 2014 - +$3,000 <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 2015 - +$5,000 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> \\Cesrv500\cc support\CMO\2011 Council Agendas\M110411\S110411B -and Atts A,B,C.doc <br /> <br />
