� ■ � � <br />CHAPTER V <br />Al M_SAPY <br />The purpose of the Glossary is to define commonly used terms as used in the <br />Metropolitan Area General Plan, <br />1. Assumption A position, projection or conclusion considered to be <br />reasonable. Assumptions differ from findings in that they are not <br />a known fact. <br />2. Density, gross The number of dwelling units and area in auxiliary <br />uses, such as dedicated road -s, parks and public facilities, per <br />acre of 1-and. <br />30 Density, net. The number of dwellings units per acre of land in <br />_ 3Et u I r.esi ential use; in other words, excluding dedicated roads, <br />parks and public facilities. <br />4, Duplex Dwelling, Unit A duplex dwelling unit is a two -unit structure <br />hav a common wall l between the dwell units. <br />5. F i nd i n,;. Factual st atement resul ting from i nvest i g at i on s', an al ys is <br />or observation. <br />6. Goal . Broad statement of philosophy that describes the hopes of <br />the people of the community for the future of the . commun ity. A <br />goal may never be compl etely attai.nabl e- but i s us - e.d as ' a po int - to <br />strive for. ' <br />7. Jurisdictional boundary. A site-specifi line delineated on Aux i l l ary <br />M ap No. 3 that d e l nes the area of,-the Metropolitan Plan where all <br />three jurisdictions have equal and cooperative authority over long- <br />range planning decisions and are subject to the Plan. review, amendment <br />and refinement process described in Chapter IV, <br />8. Key' urban f ao i l i t i es and services. Those p u b l i c facilities and <br />service important o urban eve opment . They are pr imar i l y <br />planned for by 1 government and- provided within the current <br />urban service area and as listed in the recommended policies in <br />Chapter II pertaining to Growth Management and the Urban Service <br />Area. <br />90 Mobile home A dwelling unit design - ed to be commercially trans <br />portable on- the public highways, that has sleeping, cooking and <br />plumbing f a c i l i t i e s , and is - intended for permanent human occupancy. <br />This does not include campi or vacation trailers or recreational <br />vehicles. <br />.10.
