(a) Provide safe parking at parks and recreational facilities that commonly <br />draw crowds arriving by both automobiles and bicycles. (Policy 5) <br />(3) Willamette and McKenzie Rivers. <br />(a) Use the January, 1985, Willamette River Greenway Management Proposal <br />as a source for identifying natural vegetation and wildlife areas as well as <br />possible management techniques and specific land use actions and <br />decisions that will provide a balance among physical access areas, visual <br />access areas, and areas where access should be limited or discouraged. <br />(Policy 1) <br />(b) Preserve and enhance natural habitats and scenic corridors that deserve <br />special merit along the rivers. (Policy 6) <br />(c) Assure that developments within the established Willamette River <br />Greenway boundaries comply with State and local Crreenway standards <br />and regulations. South Mills. <br />(a) Preserve the character and habitat value of the South Hills by siting and <br />developing recreational facilities and other improvements in a way that <br />preserves and enhances the natural conditions of the area. (Policy 1) <br />(b) Manage the South Hills as a passive recreational feature by providing a <br />variety of recreational facilities, such as trails, view points, and natural <br />areas, to accommodate a range of interests and activities.
