I I m �i�+e ihllr� lose to travel outside the Eugene metropolitan area <br />for a doctor's appointment, the travel time is not covered by sick leave. Sick leave is not <br />allowed for disabilities esulting from employment other than with the City. <br />Employees should not c sick leave injury or illness that is compensable under <br />Workers' Compensation, unless the employee is receiving time loss benefits and has <br />exhausted the time loss supplement benefit described in the Workers' Compensation <br />Section. Once an employee has exhausted the time loss supplement benefit, the <br />employee may use other leave accruals at their discretion (e.g., sick leave, vacation, <br />holiday, and comp time) to continue the supplement. During this time, the employee will <br />not accrue additional leave on the unpaid (SWOP) time, but will accrue leave time on <br />the time coded to paid leave. <br />An employee requesting time off due to non - occupational illness or injury must charge <br />the time to his /her sick leave accrual. If an employee has no sick leave time accrued, <br />s /he will be placed on leave without pay unless an exception is granted.
