If an exception is <br />granted, the employee may use other available accruals in lieu of sick leave. <br />Coding of Sick Leave <br />Employees who regularly work more than 20 hours per week, should code sick leave <br />used at the same rate as they regularly work. For example, employees who regularly <br />work 30 hours per week should code 6 sick leave hours (not 4) each day they are out. <br />Flextime employees who are out ill charge the same number of sick hours as they <br />would have worked that day. <br />Accrual Limits <br />Non - represented employees hired after January 1, 1980 C''� crue a maximum of 960 <br />hours. The only exception is employees <br />who are on extended sick leave, with a doctor's statement of estimated return. <br />Established departmental regulations or bargaining contract language should be <br />followed. <br />
