<br />Policy Procedure: 0 -do
<br />In most cases, an employee's tefmination sate will be the lasrday the employee was
<br />physically at work and employees should not code vacation, holiday, or compensatory
<br />time taken on their termination dates .mess" "approved by Human Resources Division.
<br />Accumulated vacation, shift holiday, a mpensatory time payments are included in
<br />the final paycheck as appropriate.
<br />For employees vii' I� rminate employment.,A on an approved leave of absence, the
<br />termination date s 11 the date the employee resigned (i.e., notified supervisor they
<br />would not return to Pr /If 11 day of the leave (if the employee failed to return
<br />from leave),
<br />The issuing of final paychecks is regulated by Oregon law. If an employee terminates
<br />with less than 48 hours notice, excluding weekends and holidays, the paycheck is due
<br />within 5 days, excluding weekends and holidays, or on the next regular payday,
<br />whichever comes first. If an employee terminates with notice of at least 48 hours, the
<br />final check is due on the final day worked, unless the last day falls on a weekend or
<br />holiday. In that case, the check is due on the next business day.
<br />If an employee is discharged, the final paycheck is due not later than the end of the next
<br />business day. When an employer and employee mutually agree to terminate the
<br />relationship, the check is due by the end of the following business day, as in the case of
<br />discharge.
