Obtaining Defense and Indemnification <br />If an officen.employee, or agent receives notice of a tort claim or demand <br />for which he/she may be entitled to defense or indemnity, that person shall <br />file a written request for defense and indemnification through Risk <br />Services. The request shall include: <br />a. A brief statement explaining the substance of the claim <br />b. Confirmation that he /she was acting within the course and scope of <br />employment; <br />C. Confirmation that the alleged act or omission did not involve <br />malfeasance in office or willful or wanton neglect of duty; <br />d.
