Policy Title: Conflict of Interest <br />Purpose: To define for employees what constitutes a conf�'Ot of interest in the <br />employment relationship and outline expectations to mane 1 issue together <br />Scope: All City of Eugene employees . <br />Policy Statement: Public trust plus organiza nd empld� t ee d' N HP are the <br />u mnm. m ip� <br />basis for the City's relationship and ability to servetcara�munity A ICY employees <br />will act in the interest of the public good. City a o ees nstrate this by remaining <br />neutral in all activities that may give rise to a real or perceived conflict of interest. The <br />resources used and the decisions made by Gity employees should be in the best <br />interest of the public and ensure that- employees are not acttng4or their own personal <br />benefit or for any other private interest <br />X1 AF <br />Policy Procedure: If an employee i§:.Uns 're if a conflict of interest exists, they should <br />discuss the situation with their supervi� i t another appropriate staff person. If there is <br />any question about whether a conflict I�Cst the final decision will be determined by <br />the department executive director or the G 'i 'I) bna g er. <br />City employees mW e on City policy boards or commissions except as <br />specifically provide ce or as required to perform official City duties. City <br />employees may not ,u I'� an �I "Oarticipate in matters of personal interest.
