Prosecutor's office will be asked to review the circumstances of any accident for <br />the possible issuance of a citation. <br />F. If an employee is involved in an accident in a City vehicle while out -of -town, <br />follow the same steps listed above except contact the law enforcement agency <br />having jurisdiction in the area of the accident. <br />G. When an out -of -town accident occurs, Fleet Services may provide assistance to <br />arrange for transportation if necessary. Transportation is generally the <br />responsibility of the involved department. <br />Driver's License " <br />All operators of City of Eugene vehicles must be 18 years a and hold a current and <br />valid Oregon Driver's license with the proper class of licen he equipment <br />operated. In addition, a Driving Record Review <br />form, with a copy of the employee's'Q1�� on driver's license, shall be submitted to Risk <br />Services prior to receiving authorizatio l ,III Aerate a City vehicle. <br />Any employee o erating a vehicle for City ll �iess purposes shall be entered into the <br />Automated Repo °i '' ervice AIRS aperat�d through Oregon Department of <br />Transportation, M �I � I'; ic ,§ Division (DMV). <br />Drivers who experieri' e ;l15hari§Kffilitheir operator's license status must report that <br />change to their supery sor immediately. The City will also be notified via the Automated <br />Reporting System. <br />Commercial Driver's <br />Some employees are required to have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in <br />order to perform their assigned duties. New employees required to have a CDL in order <br />to operate City vehicles, must show proof of a valid CDL before being assigned those <br />tasks. CDL license fees, including renewals, must be addressed on the employee's <br />own time and must be paid for by the employee. CDLs must be renewed every eight (8) <br />years. <br />Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) requires all CDL holders to pass a <br />physical exam or provide a medical waiver. Most medical certificates are valid for two <br />(2) years. Supervisors shall make the appointment for the physical with the City's <br />
