Policy Title: Regular and Flexible /Alternative Work Schedules <br />Purpose: To define the City's regular work and flexible work schedules <br />Scope: All City of Eugene employees; represented <br />appropriate labor agreement <br />Policy Statement: The policy of the City of E <br />for employees. This is a schedule with hours other <br />than the regularly aslgn f o0�upervisors should approve flexible work schedules <br />only if department operations and" ublic service requirements will not be adversely <br />affected by the schedule change. The flexible schedule must include a specified time <br />when the employee is o duty and may include an early or late starting and quitting <br />time, a 4 -day, 40 -hour week, or similar variations. Flexible work schedules should be <br />periodically reviewed by supervisors and employees. If supervisors find that the <br />arrangement is not efficient, they may require employees to return to regular work <br />hours. <br />A flexible work schedule must equal 40 hours per week for a full -time employee. When <br />leave time is used, the employee should code the number of hours he/she would <br />normally work that day to the appropriate leave type. <br />Employees interested in a flexible work schedule should submit a written request to <br />their supervisor.
