Be LEGAL PR bCEEDI NGS BY CITY ATTORNEY <br />• The City Attorney, upon request of the City Manager, shall instiew • <br />- <br />tute any necessary legal proceedings to enforce the provisions of <br />_ <br />this Ordinance, <br />• ,, <br />• <br />i <br />C4, E'FORCE11E NT BY CHIEF OF POLICE <br />,f <br />The Chief of Police and his authorized representatives shall <br />have the power, upon the request of the City Manager, to assist . in <br />the enforcement of the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION XIII e VALIDITY <br />If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this, <br />- <br />Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, such holding <br />shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the ordinance. <br />The Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby declares that it would <br />` <br />have passed this Ordinance and each section subsection, sentence, clause, <br />or phrase, irrespective of any portion declared unconst•ituti•onal. <br />SECTION M . CONFLICTING PROVISIONS <br />All ordinances or parts ' of ordinances ' in "conflict herewith are hereby <br />repealed. <br />SECTION MI a NIOLATION AND PENALTIES <br />tE <br />. <br />A person, firm, or corporation - violating any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine of not <br />- <br />more than two hundred dollars ($200) and in default 'of payment thereof, <br />by imprisonment for one day for each two dollars ($2. .00) of such unpaid <br />fine. Each such person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed guilty of <br />a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of ivhich any <br />violation of any provision of this ordinance is Committed or continued by <br />such -person, firm, or corporation" and shall be ' punished accordingly d <br />SECTION III.
