These amendments provide more flexibility and clarity <br />about how and where bicycle parking can be provided for new developments and redevelopments. <br />G. Public Facilities and Services Element <br /> <br />Include measures in local land development regulations that minimize the amount of impervious <br />surface in new development in a manner that reduces stormwater pollution, reduces the <br />negative effects from increases in runoff, and is compatible with Metro Plan policies. (Policy <br />G.18) <br /> <br />Consistent with this policy, the code amendment related to driveways and parking areas in multi-family <br />zones will minimize the amount of imperious surface for new duplexes and single-family dwellings. <br /> <br />H. Parks and Recreation Facilities Element <br /> <br /> Encourage the development of private recreational facilities. (Policy H.4) <br /> <br />Consistent with this policy, the amendment related to open space in multi-family developments will <br />increase the amount of open space that is available around high density housing by eliminating the <br />exemption for denser developments and providing more flexibility on where and how open space can <br />be located. <br /> <br />Applicable Adopted Refinement Plans <br />The following applicable adopted refinement plans contain policies that are applicable to these code <br />amendments: <br />Fairmount/UO Special Area Study <br />th <br />19 and Agate Special Area Study <br />West University Neighborhood <br />Whiteaker Plan <br />Willakenzie Area Plan <br /> <br />The applicable policies from these refinement plans (in italics) are addressed below.
