Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey my backpack & bicycle or just carry them cloth & used plastic veggie bags frequently forget to bring my own bags, don't like getting the plastic ones No bag - just carry the stuff combination of above Small trips/ no bag large trips/any of the above When possible I use my bags also If I forget my bags, I use the retailer's paper bags. This isn't often. backpack I try to remember my bags but most often use theirs....or I use mine but still need to use one or to of theirs. Paper bags put into a plastic bag if i dont have my bags I carry my items or have help to car either one if it is CLEAN both plastic from store and ones I bring from home What ever they provide baskets, crates empty shipping cartons (at costco) -sort of ok but not as green as plastic bags Either my own or no bag. if I forget my reusable bags, I use paper. Both supplied by retailer, plastic for keeping meats & eggs eperate About half-and-half my own cloth bags and reused paper bags from prior trip to store and sometimes paper bags to reuse as garbage bags. Husband uses cloth bags; I carry plastic bags in my purse. Or paperbags to use for recycled items at home. My backpack and bike rack if I am out of reuseabeplastic bags at home I ask for plastic provided by the retailer.. but i use the small platic bags for veggies i use retailer plastic bags when i have accidently forgot mine Some of each of the first 3 options BOTH my own bags and reused paper bags Both Plastic/Paper bags Either provided by retailer Mixture: plastic bag from retailer or my own cloth bag I have reusable bags but often use plastic bags as well. They aren't single use in my home as they get used for diapers & also bathroom garbage & get recycled when I've accumulated too many I also use paper bags mix of my bags and paper bags from retailer all of the above In Eugene I usually only shop at Costco & the re-use their boxes, which I then recycle. That is all safeway offers I always carry my things because I hardly get a large amount of items at once. I also use reused paper bags My own cloth plus retailer plastic Sometime I only buy what I can carry. Like plastic! Reuse around the house, kitty litter & garbage liners!
