Attachment D: Text responses from consumer plastic bag ban survey I've been using a backpack for over 20 years. It keeps my hands free, unlike the typical reusable bags. I need the retailers' plastic bags to line my trashcans, carry items to other locations, etc. I never discard them as litter. I don't want to. It should be my choice. use the paper bags in my waste paper containers to take out my garbage instead of plastic liners. Better for recycling I use them to pickup pet waste. Try it sometime with a paper bag. Also use plastic bags to pick up dog doo, so occasionally need to bring some home for that purpose. I use a reusable bag for grocery/food shopping, but not for clothing shopping or take-out food. forgetfulness Just more stuff to remember and carry - purse, umbrulla, coat. If I'm buying something that smells bad Becoming more of a habit to remember them. Will take my groceries out to car and bag there if I forget. Part of the cost of the goods I buy includes the cost of the bag. I'm paying for the damn bag. I want it. Plastic bags easier to carry. Means few trips up my stairs for my weak and sore knees. To have them all the time is not possible. i live in an rv & use grocery bags as trash bags I use them but also like paper and plastic I use reusable bags but also like plastic bags and they should not be banned Use the plastic bags to return bottles to the store I use both paper and plastic to store and dispose of my waste at home - so to me they are MULTI- USE I do use reusable bags, especially when they are pretty I reuse the plastic bags for cat litter box and disposing of ostomy pouches I always recycle with other uses my plastic bags I recycle paper and plastic bags for various household uses. When I walk to the store, I take a reusable bag. I only carry home a few groceries.I use I forget to bring it in.
