SECTION 6 <br />Integrated Stormwater Management Strategy <br />The purpose of this section is to summarize the flood control, water quality, and stormwater <br />related natural resource elements of the integrated stormwater management strategy for the River <br />Road Santa Clara basin as they were presented in Sections 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 respectively. The <br />capital project elements of the stormwater management strategy are shown on Figures 3 -2 <br />through 3 -8. These CPs and development standard strategies are summarized in subsection 6.1. <br />Subsection 6.2 provides a summary of strategy benefits and subsection 6.3 provides a summary <br />of strategy implementation and costs. <br />6.1 CP and Development Standard Strategies <br />Flood Control Strate2y <br />Two categories of flood control capital projects were identified for implementation. The first <br />category of flood control CPs were identified to address predicted capacity deficiencies. These <br />projects are listed as follows: <br />Al -1: Open Channel Improvements: Regrade the existing open channel segment <br />(RSA1090B) from node 72789 to 78790 (18'). <br />Al -2: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Irving Road and Gent Road: Upsize <br />and replace the existing 36" CMP culvert (RSA1090A) with a 48" CMP culvert. <br />Al -3: Flood Control (Storage) at Prairie Road and Beltline Road: Construct storage <br />facilities at nodes 72782 and 72102 to provide a total of 85 acre -ft of storage. <br />Al -4: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Prairie Road and Beltline Road: <br />Upsize and replace the existing 24" CMP culvert (RSA1100I) with a 36" CMP <br />culvert. <br />Al -5: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) South of Irving Road: Upsize and replace <br />the existing 3 -24" CMP culverts (RSA1090E) with a 2' x 8' box culvert. <br />Al -6: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Carol Avenue: Upsize and replace the <br />existing 24" CMP culvert (RSA1060L) with a 2' x 4' box culvert. <br />Al -7: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Kelso Street: Upsize and replace the <br />existing 18" and 24" CSP culverts (RSA1060G) with a 2' x 4.5' box culvert. <br />Al -8: Flood Control (Storage) at Maxwell Road West of N. Park Avenue: Construct <br />storage facilities at nodes 72725 and 59020 to provide a total of approximately <br />135 acre -ft of storage. <br />Al -9: Al Channel Survey: Conduct survey of open channel segments to identify <br />available storage above the top of banks. <br />FC -1: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Calla Street: Upsize and replace the <br />existing 3 -12" CSP culverts (RSFCO50D) with a 1.5' x 5.0' box culvert. <br />SC -1: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) at Katy Lane: Upsize and replace the two <br />existing 30" CSP culverts (RSSCO50B) with a 12' long pedestrian bridge. <br />WO -1: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) East of Azalea Dr.: Upsize and replace <br />the existing 18" CMP culvert (RSWO070D) with a 66" CSP culvert. <br />WO -2: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) East of Edgewood Dr.: Upsize and <br />replace the existing 36" CSP culvert (RSWO110A) with a 60" CSP culvert. <br />WO -3: Flood Control (Culvert Replacement) East of Yvonne St.: Upsize and replace <br />the existing 48" CSP culvert (RSWO080A) with a 66" CSP culvert. <br />0:\25695978 Eugene RR -SC Final Basin P1an\Master P1anTINAL 2- 2010\Master_Plan 3- 11- 10_FINAL_ Word _Version.doc 6-1 <br />
