2015-18 STIP <br />GRANT APPLICATION <br /> <br />Attachment E <br />Jessen Path <br />& Lighting Project <br />The Jessen Path & Lighting Pro- <br />ject enhances the recreation val- <br />ue of Golden Gardens Park and <br />increases multimodal access. <br />A shared use path through Golden <br />*DUGHQV3DUNLVLGHQWLILHGLQWKHFLW\·V <br />transportation plan (TransPlan) and in <br />WKHSDUN·VPDVWHUSODQ7KHDGGLWLRQ <br />of a shared use path will increase use <br />and appreciation of Golden Gardens <br />Park and provide a safe and comforta- <br />ble transportation alternative to busy <br />roads like Barger Street for local resi- <br />dents and park visitors. <br />This proposed linear path facility <br />would serve the 222-acre natural area <br />located along Jessen Drive north of <br />Barger Street connecting Terry Street <br />on the west to the Beltline Path on the <br />east.
