uses serve as a buffer between intensive institutional uses and the existing <br /> single-family residential area south of 15th Avenue or east of the University <br /> East Campus Limited High Density Residential/Limited Institutional area. <br /> <br /> (i) The Part II Land Use General Policies 2 and 3 (page 15) of the SAS are <br />amended, and a new Policy 8 is added thereto, to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> With the exception of 1) the "institutional Area" ('T' on the Land Use <br /> Diagram), 2) the Limited High Density Residential/Limited Institutional Area <br /> ("LHDR/LF on the Land Use Diagram) and 3) the Department of Motor <br /> Vehicles site ("S" on the Land Use Diagram), non-residential zoning shall not <br /> be expanded in the study area. <br /> <br /> 3. With the exception of 1) that portion of the ODOT lands designated for <br /> residential use, and 2) University lands designated as "Institutional" or <br /> "Limited High Density Residential/Limited institutional", zone changes to <br /> increase residential density or commercial intensity are not supported by this <br /> p~an. This policy a~lows the opportunity for future residential development on <br /> the ODOT lands (approximate density for residential development on the <br /> ODOT lands will be addressed by selection of one of the alternative policy <br /> statements found in the Oregon Department of Transportation Section - <br /> Section D)o <br /> <br /> The City shall encourage applicants who desire amendments to this plan to <br /> involve the collaboration of the City and the Fairmount Neighborhood in the <br /> review and revision process. <br /> <br /> (j) Policies 1 and 2 of The Core Residential Area Policies (page 19) of the SAS <br />are amended as follows: <br /> <br /> 1.
