EXHIBIT E <br />the above finding, the application is consistent with Goal 6. <br />Goal 7: Areas Subject to Natural Hazards <br />To protect people and property from natural hazards. <br />Finding 66: This goal directs jurisdictions to adopt comprehensive plans that <br />reduce the risks to people and property from natural hazards. Within the Metro Plan <br />area, Lane County, Springfield, and Eugene jointly completed the Goal 7 requirements <br />in the acknowledged Metro Plan document Ch. III Environmental Resources Element, <br />Goal 7 sections. No changes to Goal 7 elements are being attempted with this proposal. <br />Lands previously governed under the Metro Plan will be governed under the RCP <br />should this amendment obtain approval. Lane County completed Goal 7 requirements in <br />its acknowledged RCP. Given the above finding, the application is consistent with Goal <br />7. <br />Goal 8: Recreational Needs <br />To satisfy the recreational need s of the citizens of t he state and visitors and, <br />where appropriate, to provide for the siting of necessary recreational facilities <br />including destination resorts. <br />Finding67 The goal's requirements for meeting recreational needs, now and in <br />the future shall be planned for by governmental agencies having responsibility for <br />recreation areas, facilities and opportunities. Within the Metro Plan area, Lane County, <br />Springfield, and Eugene jointly completed the Goal 8 requirements in the <br />acknowledged Metro Plan document Ch. III Parks and Recreation Facility Element, <br />section G. No changes to Goal 8 elements are being attempted with this proposal. <br />Lands previously governed under the Metro Plan will be governed under the RCP <br />should this amendment obtain approval. Lane County completed Goal 8 requirements in <br />its acknowledged RCP. Given the above finding, the application is consistent with Goal <br />8. <br />Goal 9: Economic Development <br />To provide adequate opportunities throughout The state for a variety of <br />economic activities vital to the health, welfare, and prosperity of Oregon's <br />citizens. <br />Finding68: This goal states Comprehensive plans and policies shall contribute to <br />a stable and healthy economy in all regions of the state. Within the Metro Plan area, <br />Lane County, Springfield, and Eugene jointly completed the Goal 9 requirements in the <br />acknowledged Metro Plan document Ch. III Economic Element, section B. No changes <br />to Goal 9 elements are being attempted with this proposal. Lands previously governed <br />under the Metro Plan will be governed under the RCP should this amendment obtain <br />approval. Lane County completed Goal 9 requirements in its acknowledged RCP.
