<br />SUMMARY MINUTES <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />Eugene Planning Commission <br />Eugene City Hall, Council Chamber - 777 Pearl Street <br /> <br />March 14,2006 <br />6p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Mitzi Colbath, President; Jon Belcher, Phillip Carroll, Phillip Hudspeth, John Lawless, <br />Randy Hledik, members; Kent Kullby, Steve Nystrom, Gabe Flock, Planning and Devel- <br />opment Department; Charles Solin, Human Resource & Risk Services. <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Rick Duncan, Vice President; Mike Sullivan, ex officio. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGIPOSSIBLE ACTION ON STREET NAME CHANGE: 3RD/4TH STREET <br />CONNECTOR TO SHELTON BOULEVARD (SC 06-1) <br /> <br />Lead Staff: <br /> <br />Kent Kullby <br />(541) 682-5453 <br /> <br />Mr. Lawless moved, seconded by Mr. Hudspeth, that based on the oral and writ- <br />ten testimony, the available evidence in the record and the Commission's discus- <br />sion in regards to the criteria of approval, EC 9.8485 regarding what is in the <br />best interest of the City of Eugene, the Commission recommends to the City <br />Council against the renaming ofthe 3rd/4th Connector to Shelton Boulevard and <br />recommend that the street be renamed to Shelton McMurphey Blvd. (abbrevia- <br />tion for boulevard) and that the Commission's record indicates the discussion of <br />other names and variations of suffixes.
