<br />ATTACHMENT G <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY <br /> <br />March 14,2006 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Planning Commission <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Kent Kullby AICP, Associate Planner, Planning Division <br /> <br />ITEM TITLE: <br /> <br />Street Name Change: Renaming of3rd/4th Connector, City file (SC 06-1). <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a public hearing and make a recommendation to the City Council <br />on the proposal to rename the 3rd/4t Connector to Shelton Boulevard. <br /> <br />BRIEFING STATEMENT: On March 14, 2006, the Planning Commission will hold a public <br />hearing on a City-initiated request to rename the 3rd/4th Connector (a.k.a. 3rd/4th Avenue) to Shelton <br />Boulevard. After hearing public testimony and asking any questions of staff or participants, the <br />Planning Commission may deliberate and prepare a recommendation to the City Council immediately <br />following the public hearing, or at the Commission's meeting on March 20,2006. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On December 12,2005, the Eugene City Council initiated the proceeding to <br />consider a change from the existing street name 3rd/4th Connector (a.k.a. 3rd/4th Avenue) to Shelton <br />Boulevard based upon a request by the Shelton-McMurphey-Johnson House Board members.
