Little did they know that when they went for that innocent swim to cool off and play in <br />the North East Pond the vegetation and debris in the water would over take them. <br /> <br />Nick and Britton were experienced swimmers, but tragically the more they fought for their lives the faster they <br />were pulled into this flooded gravel pit. <br /> <br />They didn't understand that the only way to call for help was their two brothers running as fast as they could <br />hoping that a nearby fisherman would have a cell phone. <br /> <br />They had no warning that the EMS, Firemen and Police lacked the ability to reach them quick enough because <br />of the failure of access into and around the park. <br /> <br />Who could of imagined that Lane County Search and Rescue would spend nearly 8 hours attempting to recover <br />their lifeless bodies from the murky water. <br /> <br />If our boys knew the danger they were attracted to, they would have never risked themselves or anyone else. <br /> <br />/f) <br /> <br />_/ <br />
