Mayor Kitty Piercy and members of City Council:
My name is Jessica Lovell. I am an 8th grade student at Prairie Mountain School.

My purpose in writing this letter is to make Golden Gardens Park more like a park and to

do my best to make people stop and think twice before swimming in these nasty ponds.

To make the ponds safe is really important so we hopefully prevent future deaths

due to the ponds. I know about 60 kids who feel the same way. 60 kids at my school went

in to 8th grade with one less person; I don't think that is fair.

Below are some ideas that my class came up with to make the ponds a safer place:

. Plant trees

. Create a memorial for the kids that past away

. Create a garden

. Make trails

Here are some ideas we had that maybe you could help us with:

. Put in a playground

. Put in bark

. Put up more convincing signs

Maybe if we all work together, we can make Golden Gardens a more fun; more

safe, and an all around better place to be.

Sincerely,
Jessica Lovell
