<br /> <br />ECC <br />UGENE ITY OUNCIL <br /> <br />AIS <br />GENDA TEM UMMARY <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Work Session: Police Auditor Evaluation Process <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Date: April 9, 2008 Agenda Item Number: <br />Department: Central Services Staff Contact: Alana Holmes <br />www.eugene-or.gov Contact Telephone Number: 682-5765 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ISSUE STATEMENT <br /> <br />This is a work session to provide the Police Auditor, Cris Beamud, with her performance evaluation, <br />feedback, and merit increase. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Cris Beamud was hired as the Police Auditor by the City Council on October 16, 2006. The Police <br />Auditor is past due for her annual evaluation and corresponding merit increase. On March 10, 2008, the <br />council approved an abbreviated checklist and summary document to be used as the tool for this <br />evaluation process and agreed to provide a combination evaluation with both written and verbal <br />feedback. <br /> <br />Attached you will find a compilation of evaluation ratings and comments from both the council and <br />from the Civilian Review Board (CRB). In addition, a self evaluation, as requested by the council, has <br />been completed by Ms. Beamud, and is attached for your review. <br /> <br />Currently, Ms. Beamud is at step three of her classification pay range, which amounts to a yearly salary <br />of $91,956.80. A decision must be made as to what merit increase to approve and any other salary <br />adjustment the council determines necessary. <br /> <br />Included with the March 10, 2008, AIS were the following attachments: <br /> <br />1.Police Auditor Annual Report 2007 <br /> <br />2.Civilian Review Board Annual Report 2007 <br /> <br />3.City of Eugene Ordinance No. 20374 <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />City of Eugene Ordinance No. 20374 provides the framework for the reporting relationship between the <br />City Council and the Police Auditor including the role of the Civilian Review Board in the evaluation <br />process. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> F:\CMO\2008 Council Agendas\M080409\S080409A.doc <br /> <br />
