Council Position - Betty Smith <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilor Smith announced, with regret, that she will not file for the Ward 2 <br />City Council position that she has filled for seven years. She said she has <br />found council work a gratifying growth experience. Projects that she was <br />pleased to be involved with were the Hult Center, the Wastewater Management <br />Commission, and the Room Tax Committee. She concluded that her council work has <br />been rewarding because of the outstanding City staff, councilors, and citizens. <br /> <br />G. Appointments <br /> <br />1. Kim Short, 2339 West 28th Avenue <br />term to expire December 31, 1986 <br /> <br />Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />Ms. Wooten moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that Carol Cogswell, term to <br />expire December 31, 1986; Richard Guske, term to expire December 31, <br />1986; and Kitty Murdoch, term to expire December 31, 1985; be <br />reappointed to the Citizen Involvement Committee. Roll call vote; the <br />motion carried unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />H. Announcements <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason announced a joint City Council-Planning Commission meeting on <br />January 18 at noon with lunch at 11:30 a.m., in the McNutt Room at City Hall.
