<br />E. Air Quality Maintenance Area Advisory Committee--Mr. Delay reported <br />the Committee made some minor adjustments to the industrial sources of ~ <br />pollutants and considered the regulations to be a reasonable control ~ <br />technology. The Committee is requesting up to an l8-month extension <br />to complete its planning. The Committee will be adopting a new work <br />program and hopes to report a final plan by the end of this calendar <br />year. He said the actions taken by the Committee will give it an <br />opportunity to better look at the soils problem. The Committee is <br />awaiting EPA response. <br /> <br />F. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training--Memo distributed to Council <br />indicating training sessions available Wednesday 4:00 p.m. and <br />Wednesday evenings. Council may make arrangements through the Fire <br />Department. <br /> <br />G. Legislative Subcommittee--Meeting scheduled Thursday, February 8, <br />12 noon, McNutt Room. <br /> <br />H. Civic Center Commission--Meeting scheduled Thursday, February 8, 7:30 <br />p.m. in the Council Chambers, for a status report. <br /> <br />I. Sister City, Kakegawa, Japan--Letter distributed to Council announcing <br />Kakegawa had adopted a sister-city relationship with Eugene. It <br />also is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a municipal government <br />and has invited those interested to visit nex: fall. Manager noted <br />an interest among citizens in the community. <br /> <br />J. Work Program Summaries--Distributed to Council for inclusion in their ~ <br />notebooks. Manager said all departments were included except Parks <br />and Personnel. <br /> <br />K. Council Meeting Location Change--Manager said the last City Council <br />meeting to be held at this location will be February 21. Staff is in <br />process of trying to find a suitable location, with Council discu~sion <br />on the matter at next week's meeting. He said it seemed the City <br />Council Chambers may be the best solution. <br /> <br />L. Councilor Hamel--It was announced Mr. Hamel is now home from the <br />hospital. <br /> <br />II.
