Section Six: Time and On-Scene Performance <br /> <br />measure is the construction of a new Fire Station 11 in the Santa Clara area. This new station, <br />which should be in service in the late spring of 2005, will replace the temporary facility currently <br />staffed by personnel assigned to Engine 11. <br /> <br />E9 Reassignment to Santa Clara - In 2002, Engine 9, from the Valley River Station, was <br />reassigned to Station 11 in Santa Clara and designated Engine 11. This move was prompted by <br />the addition of a new response area to Eugene Fire & EMS without the provision of any <br />additional response resources. Although the infrastructure is in place to activate a new Engine 9 <br />and fill the existing response gap, Eugene Fire & EMS is not currently budgeted to add this staff <br />resource. Because of this situation, there is currently a service shortfall in Eugene's resource <br />distribution and depth of coverage. <br /> <br /> <br />
