My interest in the site peeked <br />sometime after the gym building caught fire and the school district put up <br />the "for sale sign" and it started me thinking of all of the things lacking in the <br />Santa Clara area that the property could be used for. <br /> <br />I spend time visiting with my neighbors in the Santa Clara area, local <br />residents wanting to save the school site for a park or for community use, <br />the local community organization and residents living around the site. I <br />have heard a lot of ideas and thoughts for the property; I have even been <br />given a few history lessons about the school and the Santa Clara area. <br /> <br />The out shot of this is: <br /> <br />It is my plan to develop the site into a mixed-use development with <br />community shopping center with a 50 unit residential housing element. <br />
