All pez°sorls engaged in the business of buying second-hand <br />bicycles are hereby required to make a report to the Police Department of the <br />purchase, giving the name,'address and person from whom each bicycle is pur- <br />chased, the frame ,number thereof and the number of the metallic license plate <br />found thereon, if arty; all persons engaged in the business of selling nevi or <br />second-hand bicycles are hereby required to~make.a report to the Police Depart- <br />ment giving a-list of all sales made, vahich list shall include the-name: and. <br />address of each person to whom sold, the kind of bicycle sold .together ~P~ith a <br />description and the frame number thereof and the number of the metallic license <br />,plate attached thereto, if any. Said re~corts shall be made within twenty-four <br />hours from the date of the sale. <br />Section 6. It shall be the duty of every person rho sells or transfers <br />ownership of any bicycle to report such sale or transfer by returning to t'rre <br />Police Department the registration card issued to such person as licensee <br />thereof, together with the name and adress of the person to vuhom said bicycle <br />vas sold or: transferred, and such, report shall be made within five days of <br />the date of said sale or transfer. It shall be the duty of the.pur•chaser or <br />transferee of such bicycle to apply for a transfer of registration thereof within <br />five days of said ~ sale or• transfer, <br />Section 7. All persons who rent, hire, or loan bicycles shah first <br />obtain a .license tag or tags to be used on such bicycles by paying therefor <br />the regular fee, which tag or tags shall be attached to the bicycle. Persons <br />requiring such tags may secure the same from the Chief of Police of said city. <br />Section 8. No pez•son shall -operate or ride on any bicycle upon the <br />streets, alleys or public highways of the City of Eugene with tvao or more <br />persons upon the same bicycle, pz°ovided, Yiowever, that this restriction shall <br />not apply to tandem bicycles or other bicycles equipped for tvao or more riders <br />and no person small be permitted to operate a bicycle with the passenger in <br />front of the operator. <br />Section 9. T~To person, while. riding or operating a bicycle on any street, <br />alley or publicrrighway in the City of Eugene, shall hold on to any other vehicle. <br />Section 10. It shall be ~~~avaful to ride or operate a bicycle on any <br />sidewalk in the city of Eugene outside of Fire Zone No. 1. It sha 11 be unlaw- <br />ful to vide or operate a bicycle on any sidewalk within Fire Zone P1o. 1. <br /> <br />
