<br />The end of the filling pipe for underground storage tanks for class I'and. II
<br />liquids shall be carried to an approved location outside of any building, but not within
<br />5 feet of any entrance door, or cellar opening; this filling pipe sha11 be cloaed by a
<br />screw cap.
<br />Q80. DELIVEF.IES TG STORAGE TANKS.
<br />Deliveries of flammable liquids of Class I and II, where practical, shall be
<br />made directly to the storage tank through the filling pipe by means of a hose or pipe
<br />between the filling pipe and barrel, tank wagon or tank car from which such liquid is
<br />being drawn.
<br />agl. PUMP REQUIRED.
<br />Except as permitted in Section 98j, flam^~a,ble liquids shall be drau~m from tan~ce
<br />by pumps so constructed as to prevent leaking or splashing, or by some other system ap`-
<br />proved by the chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, with controlling ap~oaratus and
<br />piping so arranged as to allow control of the amount of discharge and prevent leakage or
<br />discharge inside the building by any derangement of the system. zrThen inside a building,
<br />the pump or other dra+rring-off device for Class I or TI liquids shall be located on or
<br />above the grz.de floor, preferably near an entr~.nce or other well-ventilated place.
<br />982. NO GRAVITY FEED PERMITTED.
<br />Except a,s permitted in Section 983, no tanks, drums, nor other containers inside
<br />a building, or d.ischa.rging inside a building, shall be provided with a faucet or other
<br />bottomdra+~ring device which +rrill permit the gr?.vity flow of liquids inside the building.

<br />! The Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention may permit the storage and gravity
<br />{ flo+fr of flammable liquids in connection vrith domestic oil burning equipments, in refiner-
<br />ies, and. in manufacturing and jobbing p7_ants +,rher.e the nature of the manufa.eturing pro-
<br />~ cess requires such storage and flow, and also the storage flow of commodities of Classes
<br />II and III in stores, plants and establishments, where the nature of the liquid +,vill not
<br />permit bumping; provided that the contents of tanks holding Class I liquid sha,]_1 be
<br />sufficient only for one day's operation and such storage 'shall be in a room in accord-
<br />once with Section 915. _
<br />' og?~. FUEL OIL EQUIPMENTS.
<br />An-approved domestic type oil burner may be supplied by gr.-vity from two connected
<br />inside or outside storage tanks; provided neither tank exceeds 275 gallons capacity and
<br />they are cennected to the fuel line by an approved 3 way valve.

<br />kilns, ovens and other apparatus are covered in this
