<br />(a) It is prohibited for any person in charge of a vehicle containing
<br />such exploxive to smo':~? in or upon such vehicle, to drive the vehicle while intoxic-,.ted,
<br />to drive the vehicle or to conduct hiinsel`f in a, care less or redkless manner, to
<br />load or unload such vehicle in a careless manner or while smoking or intoxicated.
<br />(b) It is prohibited for any person to place or carry in the bed or
<br />• body, or cause to be placed or carried in the bed or body of any vehicle containing
<br />~' snch explosives, any metal tool or other piece of metal, or any matches.
<br />`(c) It is prohibited for. any person to place or carry o* cause to be
<br />placed or carried, in any vehicle containing explosives, any erpleders, detonators,
<br />bi.?sting caps or other similar explosive material.
<br />I {d) Th? permit for transporting ecpl.osives Ghal1. designate the time ~~~hen,
<br />~~ a.nd may designate the route whereon the same may be tr.a.nsported.
<br />2d8 All explosives rmwst be stored in a magazine complying with the requirements
<br />of this ordinance, unless such explosives are being trarsported or used4as prescribed
<br />and authorized by this ordinance; a.nd an accurate record sho~•.~ing~ the disposition
<br />~' of each container or. pact~age of explosives stored, transported or used shall be kept
<br />such record to be subject to inspection by the Bureau of Fire Prevention at all
<br />} tires.
<br />` 20p Provided that one portable magazine containing not more than fifty pounds
<br />of explosive may be allo+•~ed if placed on ~~rheels and looted not lore than ten feet fret,
<br />on the came floor ~,rith and directly opposite to the entra.nre on the floor nearest the
<br />!I street level, and one portable :aagazine containing not more than five thousand
<br />., bl-sting caps, may be alloured. if pla.ceu~ on wheels and located on the floor nearest
<br />the street level.
<br />(b) Blastir_g ca..~cs or u.etorators of any kind shall not be kept in the
<br />same magazine ~rrith other exploxives.
<br />(c) All magines mast be kept locked except arhen being inspected or
<br />when explosives are being placed therm or being removed therefrom.
<br />~ (d) A11 magazines or daces ~trher.e explosives are stored must be kept clean
<br />~ and free from grit, rubbish and empty pack~.gea.
<br />lal ( e) A4agazi$~s shall be made of fireproof material or wood covered with
<br />sheet iron and- ahall~conspicuously marked, "Magazine - Explosives".
<br />210 BTASTIA?C: No per"son shall blast or carry on any blasting operations
<br />+:rithout first having obtained a permit from the Bureau of Fire Prevention. The
<br />applicant for such permit must file a, bond deemed adequate in each case by the
<br />Bureau of Fire Prevention, which bond shall becore available in the payment of any
<br />damage arising; from the neglect of the contf~actor or his agents or employees. •

<br />X01 Pyrotechnics ~arhenever used. in this ordinance shall be held to mean
<br />any sparkler, squib, rocket, firecracker, roman candle, signal lights, railroad
<br />tra.rk torpedo, f7.ash7 ight composition, fire~,rorks or other devices or compes ition used.
<br />~ to obtain visible or audible pyrotechnic displa.v, and shall include fire balloons,
<br />that is balloons of a type Urhich Y~,ve burning material of any kind attached thereto.
<br />X02 No person shall have, keep, store, use manufacture, se1.1, handle or
<br />' transport any pyrotechnics; provided, hotrever,
<br />(a) That nothing in this ordinance shall be held to apply to the possession
<br />or use of signaling devices for current daily consumption by railroads, vessels and
<br />others requiring them.
<br />(b) That the Bureau of Fire Prevention may, upon due application, issue
<br />' a permit to a properly ~{ualified person for giving pyrotechnic display of fireworks in
<br />the public parks or other open places. Such permits shall impose such restrictions
<br />as in the opinion of the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention may be necessary to
<br />properly safeguard life and property in each case.
<br />(c) That nothing in tr.is ordinance shall be held to apply to the
<br />possession, sale or use of nerma.l stacks of flashlight cem_oositions by photographers
<br />or dealers in photogra hie s+app7 ies.
<br />Siaall ammunitions ~,rhPr_ever used in thi s ordinance sha.1_7. be held to mean
<br />any shotgun ,,rifle, pietol or revolver c-,rtridges.
<br />1 ~ No person shall manufacture within the limits cf the city any small
<br />arms ammar_ition. This sh~,ll not be construed as prohibiting the hand-loading of
<br />~ small arms ammunition`s for private use and not for resale.
<br />305.. No person shall store for sale, sell or offer far sale any small arms
<br />ammunitions without a permit.
