<br />· Called Surveying Firm of Ford Ness & Fassbender to determine if partitioning <br />would be an option to help offset assessments on the proposed sewer line. <br />Paula said to contact the city for their packet of information. Also to find out <br />what will be the deadline on partitioning. <br /> <br />May 2. 1996 <br />· Called sewer project office to determine in advance of the May 5 meeting if <br />there would be any grounds for deferral of sewer charges since my property is <br />already connected to the sewer line. I mentioned that at least one neighbor on <br />Green Lane was partitioning to defer part of the assessment obligations. Asked <br />for information on how to partition and when would be the deadline to have the <br />partitioning completed. <br /> <br />· S Malone said to talk with Cathy Szerniakin the Planning Department. <br /> <br />· Called C Scerniak who said she would put together a packet of information, but <br />when she heard we were already annexed she said she wanted to check out a <br />couple of things. She will call back. Said that deadline for completion of <br />partitioni ng wou Id be December 1. <br /> <br />May 3. 1996 . <br />· Called Paula at Surveyors to tell her I was waiting on C Szerniak's call back <br />and info. Relayed the December 1 deadline. Paula said 12-1-96 would be a <br />tight schedule, but do-able. <br /> <br />May 7. 1996 <br />· 8:45 a.m. left word on answering machine at Planning Dept for Cathy Szerniak. <br /> <br />· 9:10a.m. C Szerniak returned call. Said that since we had been annexed in <br />1984 any partitioning would not result in deferred assessments. <br /> <br />· Called Sue Malone about this development. She said there were about 20 <br />properties along Green Lane and Lone Oak that had been previously annexed <br />and that these properties were governed by a different set of rules than the rest <br />of the properties being served by the sewer project. She had asked C Szerniak <br />to research this information for her. Told me to come to the May 8 meeting to <br />pick up OUT estimate. <br /> <br />May 8. 1996 <br />* · Picked up estimate information at meeting. Talked with Michelle Cahill. Told <br />her I felt I was running around in circles and time was running out. I don't even <br />know what questions to ask to get accurate information on our rights. . . <br />especially since we are already on a sewer. Michelle suggested a get the draft <br />copy of the engineer's report for the hearing official. Also that I read Eugene <br />Code Section 7.175. <br /> <br />· Immediately following the above meeting, called Cathy Szerniak to ask where <br />to find the rules governing the sewer teams decisions. -Cathy referred me to the <br />Metro Plan (which I have ).Pg 11-8-7 Policy number 20.
