2035 TSP to be built over the next 20 years, 245 of the <br />projects are entirely pedestrian and bicycle projects; <br />those projects include 89 neighborhood greenway <br />projects, 22 on-street bike lanes, 18 shared use paths, <br />12 protected bike lane projects, and 85 separated <br />path/sidewalk projects. These 245 bicycle, pedestrian, <br />and transit projects represent 51% of the total <br />transportation dollars that are planned to be spent <br />over the next 20 years. One of the 2035 TSP <br />evelop a well-connected and <br />comfortable bikeway network. Ensure that there are <br />safe, comfortable, and direct bikeway connections <br />between residential areas, major destinations, and <br />transit stops and provide secure bicycle parking <br />facilities at these destinations. <br />Maintain a map and project list for <br />desired improvements to the bicycle network within <br />the life of this plan. Provide priorities among these <br />projects, yet provide flexibility among priorities to <br />respond to unforeseen opportunities and <br />development. <br /> <br />The list of bicycle projects in support of the policies <br />and the identified needs are shown in Chapter 5. The <br />2035 TSP <br />providing projects and policies that will create a <br />network of bicycle and pedestrian-friendly routes <br />throughout the planning area. While the map of all <br />potential bicycle system improvements may include <br />some on local streets, only improvements on collector <br />and arterial streets were considered for the 2035 TSP <br />project list and cost estimates. <br />Acres of zoned nodal development <br />TransPlan - <br />used, pedestrian friendly land use pattern that seeks <br />to increase concentrations of population and <br />employment in well-defined areas with good transit <br />service, a mix of diverse and compatible land uses, and <br />public and private improvements designed to be <br />2035 TSP <br />promotes the completion of safe, comfortable, and <br />direct sidewalk and bikeway networks between key <br />destinations, transit stops, and residential areas, which <br />supports nodal development.
