2.4.4.1. A layout for each floor with dimensions of all rooms <br />and working spaces, including a legend of all symbols used. <br />2.4.4.2. Location, size, and materials of all air ducts, air <br />inlets, and air outlets. <br />2.4.4.3. Location of all fireplaces, solid -fuel stoves and <br />appliances, fans, warm -air furnaces, boilers, absorption units, refrigerant <br />compressors, condensers, and the weight of all equipment weighing more <br />than 200 pounds. <br />2.4.4.4. Location, size, and material of all products of <br />combustion, vents, flues, and chimneys. <br />2.4.4.5. Location, size, and materials of all liquid fuel and gas <br />piping, including gas piping regulated by the fire code, except sanitary <br />waste and vent piping and potable water distribution piping regulated by the <br />plumbing code. <br />2.4.4.6. Location and area (size) of all ventilation and <br />combustion air openings and ducts. <br />2.4.4.7. Location of all air dampers and fire shutters. <br />2.4.4.8. Rated capacity or horsepower of all warm -air <br />furnaces, heat exchangers, blower fans, boilers, refrigerant compressors, <br />and absorption units. <br />3. Alternate Materials and Methods. The provisions of the technical codes are not <br />intended to prevent the use of any material or method of construction not specifically prescribed <br />by the technical codes, provided any alternate has been approved and its use authorized by the <br />Building Official, or the Fire Marshal, or both, where materials or methods involve matters within <br />the regulatory authority of both. Alternate materials and methods may be approved provided the <br />proper official(s) finds that the proposed design is satisfactory and complies with the provisions <br />of the technical codes and these regulations and that the material, method or work offered is, for <br />the purpose intended, at least the equivalent of that prescribed in the technical codes in suitability, <br />strength, effectiveness, fire resistance, durability, safety and sanitation. Sufficient evidence of <br />proof shall be submitted to substantiate any claims made regarding the use of alternates. <br />4. Determination and Issuance of Permits <br />4.1 Issuance. The applications, plans, specifications, computations and other <br />data, filed by an applicant for a permit shall be reviewed by the Building Official. If the <br />Building Official finds that the work described in an application for a permit and the plans, <br />specifications and other data . filed therewith conform to the requirements of these <br />regulations, the administrative code and the technical codes and other pertinent laws and <br />Administrative Order - Page 16 of 40 <br />
