6.5.7. Electrical Inspections. All electrical systems and equipment for <br />which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection by the Building Official. <br />No portion of any electrical system intended to be concealed shall be concealed <br />until inspected and approved. Neither the Building Official nor the City shall be <br />liable for expense entailed in the removal or replacement of any material required <br />to allow inspection. When the installation of an electrical system and equipment is <br />complete, an additional and final electrical inspection shall be made. Electrical <br />systems and equipment regulated by the Electrical Code shall not be connected to <br />the energy source until authorized by the Building Official. <br />The requirements of this section shall not be construed to prohibit the <br />operation of any electrical system or equipment installed to replace existing <br />equipment. The request for inspection of such equipment must have been filed with <br />the Building Official not more than 48 hours after such replacement work is <br />completed and before any portion of such electrical system is concealed by any <br />permanent portion of the building. <br />6.5.8. Final Inspection. To be made after finish grading and the building <br />is completed and ready for occupancy. <br />6.6 Required Building Service Equipment Inspection. <br />6.6.1. General. All building service equipment for which a permit is <br />required by these regulations or the administrative code shall be subject to <br />inspection by the Building Official. No portion of any building service equipment <br />shall be concealed until inspected and approved. When the installation of any <br />building service equipment is complete, an additional and final inspection shall be <br />made. Building service equipment regulated by the technical codes shall not be <br />connected to the water, fuel or power supply or sewer system until authorized by <br />the Building Official. <br />6.6.2. Operation of Building Service Equipment. The requirements of <br />this section shall not be considered to prohibit the operation of any building service <br />equipment installed to replace existing building service equipment serving an <br />occupied portion of the building in the event a request for inspection of such <br />building service equipment has been filed with the Building Official not more than <br />48 hours after such replacement work is completed, and before any portion of such <br />building service equipment is concealed by any permanent portion of the building. <br />6.7 Other Inspections. In addition to the called inspections specified above, <br />the Building Official may make or require other inspections of any construction work to <br />ascertain compliance with the provisions of these regulations or the administrative or <br />technical codes or other laws which are enforced by the Building Official. <br />.6.8 Reinspections. <br />Administrative Order - Page 22 of 40 <br />
