2005 Legislative Session IGR Committee Bill Approval April 11, 2005 <br /> <br /> Requires election of members of boards of directors of certain mass transit districts situated in <br /> SB 0558 1 Support standard metropolitan statistical areas with populations of 400,000 or fewer individuals. 2/24 <br /> Directs Office of Emergency Management to develop and operate statewide first responder <br /> SB 0562 3 Monitor building mapping information system. 3/17 <br /> Prohibits Oregon Transportation Commission and Department of Transportation from designating <br /> SB 0566 3 Monitor highway or portion of highway as freight route if also designated as historic and scenic highway. 3/09 <br /> Increases fines and imposes suspension of driving privileges for person who exceeds speed limit <br /> SB 0568 3 Support or designated speed by more than 30 miles per hour or who drives 100 miles per hour or greater. 3/17 <br /> SB 0572 3 Oppose Establishes protections for nursing staff members who experience workplace violence. 3/17 <br /> Makes findings concerning international outsourcing of services contracted for by state agencies. <br /> Requires contractors submitting bids or proposals on public contracts to certify where services <br /> would be performed. Prohibits state agency from awarding contract to contractor that would <br /> ~erform services outside of United States. Provides exceptions. Permits contracting agency to <br /> SB 0578 3 Monitor bring civil action for breach of contract. 3/17 <br /> SB 0581 3 Support Expands court's discretion in reducing fines for traffic violations. 3/09 <br /> Limits use of cellular telephones for dispatch by public safety answering point that receives 9-1-1 <br /> SB 0582 2 Oppose emergency calls. 3/24 <br /> Authorizes use of photo radar in Lake Oswego, Milwaukie and Roseburg. Removes requirement <br /> SB 0588 3 Neutral that photo radar equipment be operated by uniformed police officer from marked police vehicle. 3/31 <br /> SB 0597 3 Support/Am Requires person to report abuse of child residing in same household as person. 3/17 <br /> SB 0609 3 Monitor Modifies statute related to duties of local commissions on children and families. 3/24 <br /> Requires public body to conduct collective bargaining in public. Requires public body to give public <br /> notice of collective bargaining. Authorizes resident of public body's jurisdiction to bring civil action <br /> for violation or on application of Act. Authorizes Oregon Government Standards and Practices <br /> Commission to penalize public official for violating Act. Allows maximum civil penalty of $1,000 for <br /> SB 0610 3 Oppose violation of Act. 3/09 <br /> Requires person maintaining or possessing identifying information to take measures to protect <br /> SB 0630 2 Support/Am against unauthorized access to or use of information prior to disposal or destruction of information. 3/09 <br /> Exempts law enforcement officials acting in course of official duty from motor vehicle accident <br /> SB 0633 2 Support reporting requirements. Declares emergency, effective on passage. 3/17 <br /> Creates crime of possessing dogflghting paraphernalia.
