<br />as President. Motion was made, seconded, and carried that an unanimous vote of
<br />the Council be cast for E. Large as President of the Council. '

<br />Application of Mrs. L. E. Rogers for hotel permit, approved by Chief
<br />of Police Hall, was on motion granted.

<br />The Reoorder was instructed to draw on the revolving fund for $25.00 to
<br />pay the City of Eugene membership dues in the League of Oregon Cities ror the
<br />ye ar of 1931.

<br />A oommunication ~rom the National Billiard Association of America was
<br />read, and on motion ordered laid on the table. .

<br />An Ordinance changing the name of Biroh Avenue to Birch Lane was read
<br />the first time, and passed its seoond and third readings by title by unanimous
<br />consent under suspension of the rule, and was placed on its final passage. The
<br />ayes and nays were called, all present voting aye, nay, none. The Ordinanoe
<br />was declared passed and numbered 8002.
