<br /> I hereby call a special meeting of the Common Council to meet at the Council
<br /> Chambers in the City Hall on Tuesday, November 21st, 1933, at 5:00 o'clock P. M.,
<br /> for the purpose of considering and passing an Ordinance or Ordinances for the
<br /> improvement of Sixth Avenue West, East Broadway, and Franklin Boulevard, and
<br /> : a_pproving plans therefor, for the purpose of.receiving the benefit of funds to be
<br /> provided by the State Highway Commission from funds of the Federal Government.

<br /> I Council was called to order in special session by Ma~ror Large, pursuant to
<br /> notice of special Council Meeting, with the following Councilmen present: Lamb,
<br /> Hendershott, Reid, Zumwalt, Bond, and Harris. Absent Edwards and Simon.
<br /> An Ordinance to improve East Broadway from the center line of Willamette
<br /> Street to the West line of E~lyard Street, by resurfacing the pavement by sur-
<br /> I facing it with 1 inch of asphalt pavement, in the City of Etrgene, was read the
<br /> first time and passed its second and third readings by ti tIe under suspension of
<br /> the rule by the unanimous consent of the Council, and was placed upon its final
<br /> passage. The ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye, six, nay':;nbne,
<br /> absent Edwards and Simon. The Ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8367.
<br /> An Ordinance approving and adopting the plans and specifications of the City
<br /> Engineer for the improvemen tof East Broadway from the center line of Willamette
<br /> Street to the West line of Hilyard Street, by resurfacinG the pavement by sur-
