That it cannot bB made safe and sanitary. Fourth, that is the judgment of the Council that the buildings should be removed and abated. Fifth, that the building is not being put to any useful purpose I and it should be,forthwith vacated, and should be immediately torn down and removed completely. . II The buildings are situated on Lot 4 and the South 10 feet of Lot One, Block 3, of Skinner's Donation to Lane County, an Addition to I Eugene, Oregon, and are located in the business district of Eugene and I I I surrounded by business houses, and al~e within the fire limits and I are I Ii cannot be repaired under the city ordinances except by complete re- construe ti on. That the greater portion of said buildings were formerly used as a rooming house but have not been used or occupied for the past II sevel"'al years. That no insurance is being carried upon said buildings, I II and no inc ome is derived from the~~ That both of said buildings are I Ij frame structures, one of which is a two story building, and said II buildings are in a bad state of disrepair. That there is danger of '1 t , timbers falling and injuring persons at any time. That said buildings are in such close proximity to the surrounding buildings that they constitute a serious fire hazard to said other buildings. Tha t the larger building is heated by an old stove and stovepipe in the front room used as a shop and there is no electric lighting, and the re is \ very great danger of fire from the illumination used. That it is impossible to lock up said buildings and they constitute a lurking 11 place for tramps and disreputable characters. That the rooms are filled with rubbish and ill smelling mateTials, whidh is a breeding place for germs and disease qnd is a meance to the health of the surrounding cO~TIllnity and to the City of Eugene, That the buildings constitute a veritable trap for children on account of broken boards in the floors, and the possibility mf falling timbers, and is an attract- II ive nuisance. II The Common Council of the City of Eugene the refo re orders and directs I that said buildings be removed and the nuisance abated, and the City I I Recorder is hereby ordered and directed to give fifteen days notice to I n. T. Gaylord and Laura M. Gaylord as o~mers of said buildings, req.uiring I I them to remove said buildings and abate I the nuisance within thirty days l from the expiration of the fifteen days notice, and if they fail so to do, . ~.I
