<br />" <br /> <br />~ <br />357 <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />. - -- - - <br /> <br />".~. ~ ~ - <br /> <br />0- ____ _ ____ <br />- -- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />362-392 East 8th Ave. Motion was seconded and carried that condemnation proceed- <br />ings be sta rted. <br /> <br />The following Resolution relating to the building at 1569 Willamette Was <br />read and motion made, seconded and carried to adopt same. <br /> <br />..,,, <br />...,..$ <br />(:] <br />, ~;:.l <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1'e has been p resen ted to the Common Counc il <br />of the City of Eugene, reports from the Chief of Police, the <br /> <br />City Attorney, the Chairman of the Health Committee and the <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />Chief of the Fire Department, each and a 11 denouncing the <br />building on that certain p~mises designated as 1569 Willamette <br />Street in the City of bugene, as a dangerous building as defined <br />in Ordinance No. 8292, and recommending to the Common Council <br />'that the same be dismantled, and <br />VillEREAS, complaints have been made regarding said build- <br />ing, by a large number of residents living around and ~ear the <br />said building, <br />niEREFORE, be it ~esolved by the Common Council of the <br /> <br />Ci ty of Eugene that a pUblic hearing is hereby called to be <br />held in the office of the City Recorder in the City Hall in <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />the Ci ty of bue;ene, at 7: 30 0 r clock P. :M. on Monda;y, May 13th, <br />1935, at which t,ime and place all persons interested will be <br /> <br />heard upon the question as to whether or not the building <br />located at 1569 Willamette Street in Eugene, Oregon, under the <br /> <br />provisions of Ordinance No. 8292, shall be declared to be a <br /> <br />dangerous building, and as a part of said hearing the Common <br /> <br />Council itself shall inspect said building and such inspection <br /> <br />shall be ccnsidered by it in detennining whether said building <br /> <br />is dangerous. <br /> <br />r. <br /> <br />Be it further Hesolved tha t the Ci ty Recorder be and <br /> <br />he is hereby directed to forthwith mail to H. F. Carl, residing <br />c/o Kerr & Hawkins ' <br />at Orland, Calif. in Willows County, California, and the <br /> <br />owner of s,aid property, notice of the time and place and pur- <br /> <br />pose of said hea~ing, and to mail to the State of Oregon, <br /> <br />represented by and acting through the World War Veterans State <br /> <br />Aid Commission, at Salem, Oregon, the bidder at the foreclosure <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />sale held on September 5, 1924, notice of the time and place <br />and purpose of said hearing, and that at said time and place <br />the Council shall determine by resolution whether or not said <br /> <br />building is dangerous. In addition thereto, the City Reco~der <br /> <br />shall give ten days notice of such hearing in the Eugene <br />Register Guard, a newspaper published in Eugene, Lane County, <br />Oregon, and by posting notices thereof in three public places <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />in said city of Eugene. <br /> <br />~ <br />
