M. Day for a reclassification of the West 70 feet of Lots 6 and <br />7, Block 5, Mulligans Addition West, be referred to the Planning Commission, with <br />a recommendation that all of Lots 6w~ydrJ~dBlock 5, Mulligan's Addition West be <br />reclassified as Business Property 1/ MotIon tvas ,made, seconded amd carried to <br />adopt this recommendation. <br /> <br />The Recorder reported that the Blue Line Taxi Company was no longer doing <br />business in the City. The ayes and nays were called, <br />Councilmen voting aye 6, nay Zumwalt and Harris, absent none. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ~~YOR AND COMMON COUNCIL <br /> <br />OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON~ That there be submitted <br /> <br />to the electors of said City for their approval or reject- <br /> <br />ion, at a special election to be held in the City of Eugene <br /> <br />at a time and place to be designated by Ordinance, ~he <br /> <br />annexed Charter Amendment, being <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />AN ACT to amend the Charter -of the City of <br />Eugene by adding a ,new chapter thereto, <br />authorizing and directing the Common Council <br />of the City of Eugene to pass an Ordinance <br />adopting civil service for its full time <br />paid policemen, and to make all necessary <br />provisions therein for the operation of said <br />system. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution and proposed Amendment were <br />filed in the office of the City Recorder on the 9th day <br />of March, 1936. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The following is the form and numbers in which the <br /> <br />question will be submitted to the electors upon the official <br /> <br />ballot. <br /> <br />Proposed by Resolution of the Common Council and <br /> <br />referred to the electors~ <br /> <br />CIVIL SERVICE FOR POLICE: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Shall the Charter of the City of Eugene be <br />amended authorizing and directing the Common <br />Council to adopt by Opdinance a civil service <br />system for its full time paid policemen? <br /> <br />VOTE YES OR NO <br /> <br />500 <br /> <br />YES <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />501 <br /> <br />NO <br /> <br />~ <br />
