Rugh and Loyall R. Report of the Fire Department was presented and ordered filed. <br /> <br />Communication from the District Safety Inspector of the WPA, holding the Works <br />Progress Administration harmless in case of property damage or public liability <br />due to operation of any of its trucks on a WPA project was presented and upon motio <br />made and seconded the Finance Committee was ordered to contract for the necessary <br />insurance on trucks being used by WPA workers. <br /> <br />Mr. Calkins reported upon the proposed contract by the United Air Lines and <br />the City of Eugene with the recommendation that the contract be approved with Mr. <br />26 Sanders acting as co-signer with the city and it was so ordered. <br /> <br />Bids were opened for Police Radio and the same referred to the Police Committe <br />27 to refer back at the next meeting. It was reported that Mr. Williamson feels that the city should pay <br />this instead of the fraternity.
