BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Eugene, that in consideration of Lottie N. Rugh and Loyall R. Rugh deeding certain properties to the City of Eugene absolutely and unqualifiedly, that the City of Eugene hereby directs the City Recorder and the Mayor to enter into an agreement of option with the said Lottie N. Rugh and Loyall R. Rugh with regard to the respective pre~ises, granting theln until June 1, 1937, the right to purchase said property at the prices set opposite the same in the contract, together with interest thereon from this . date until said option is exercised, and in case said option is not exercised befor June 1, 1937, said option shall terminate and all rights of the said Lottie N. Rugh and Loyall R. RUgh shall be lost. Communication from W. C. Report of the Bui0ding Inspector for the month of April was presented and ordered filed. Report of the Fire Department was presented and ordered filed. Communication from the District Safety Inspector of the WPA, holding the Works Progress Administration harmless in case of property damage or public liability due to operation of any of its trucks on a WPA project was presented and upon motio made and seconded the Finance Committee was ordered to contract for the necessary insurance on trucks being used by WPA workers. Mr. Calkins reported upon the proposed contract by the United Air Lines and the City of Eugene with the recommendation that the contract be approved with Mr. 26 Sanders acting as co-signer with the city and it was so ordered. Bids were opened for Police Radio and the same referred to the Police Committe 27 to refer back at the next meeting. The bids were as follows: Terminal Radio Shop, 521 Willamette Street~ $995.95; Al Wolfel Radio KORE, $950.00; Seattle Radio Supply, $116&.00; H. ". A bill was presented to the city from the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity in behalf 0 a claim from Williamson Plumbjng Company for repairs to their sewer, the amount being $19.50. It was reported that Mr. Williamson feels that the city should pay this instead of the fraternity. The same was referred to the Sewer Committee to report at the next meeting.
