McMullen a bargain and sale deed for property purchased from the city, was <br /> I /30 upon motion made and duly seconded, accepted by the council: <br /> RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Eugene has acquir~d title to the following il <br /> c-.'r~.., <br /> described property,to-wit: <br /> Lot 2, Block 8, Hollenbeck's Addition to Eugene, Lane County, <br /> Oregon, and <br /> I WHEREAS, John C. McMullen has offered to the City the sum of <br /> $130.00, being the reasonable value of said lot as determined <br /> by the city, <br /> Now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Eugene that <br /> the Mayor and Recorder be and they are hereby directed to execute <br /> to John C. McMullen a bargain and sale deed to the above described <br /> premises, upon payment of the purchase price as determined by the <br /> city in the sum of $130.00. . <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Recorder to execute and deliver to <br /> Ambrose Dennis a deed of conveyance, was upon motion made and seconded, approved <br /> (31 by the council: <br /> RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> Whereas, The City of Eugene is the owner of the following described <br /> premises, to-wit: <br /> Commencing 100 feet south of the Northwest corner of Lot 4, Bk 23, <br /> Fairmount Addition, and run thence East 160 feet, thence South 50 <br /> feet, thence West 160 feet, and thence North 50 feet to the place <br /> of beginning, all in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and <br /> I WHEREAS, The City of Eugene has heretofore entered into an option <br /> of purchase of said premises with Charles F. Frisbee, and <br /> WHEREAS, Charles F. Frisbee, has assigned said option to D. F.Mains <br /> and C. F. Hyde, and D. F. Mains and C. F. Hyde have exercised said <br /> option and entered into a contract with the City of Eugene for the <br /> purchase of said property and have paid the purchase price therein <br /> set out in full, with interest, and have complied with all the terms <br /> ./ and conditions thereof, and <br /> WHEREAS, D. F. Mains and C. F. Hyde have endorsed and assigned said <br /> contract to Ambrose Dennis and requested that the deed run to him <br /> NOW, THEREFORE <br /> BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Eugene, that <br /> the Mayor and Recorder be and they are hereby directed to execute <br /> and deliver to Ambrose Dennis a good and suffieient deed of convey- <br /> ance, without covenants, to the above described property on behalf <br /> of the City of Eugene. <br /> An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7753 entitled "An Ordinance prohibiting <br /> the cutting of curbs in the Oity of Eugene, Oregon, for driveway purposes, exceptin <br /> I that the City Recorder may, upon application, issue a permit for not to exceed 25 <br /> per cent of the ownership frontage and not to exceed 20 feet in anyone cut, to eac <br /> property owner making such application, declaring an emergency, and fixing a penalt <br /> for the violation of such ordinance.1I passed by the common council and approved by <br /> the Mayor March 24, 1930, by permitting a curb cut in excess of the provisions of <br /> the ordinance on the north side of 4th AVenue West between Charnel ton and Lincoln <br /> Streets, was read the first time and upon motion made for its second and third <br /> readings by title under suspension of the rules and duly seconded, the motion did <br /> not carry the unanimous consent of the council, P. J~ Hanns voting in the negative. <br /> I /32 The ordinance was therefore held for second reading at the next meeting. <br /> The Fire and Water Committee is to make arrangements to haul away the garbag <br /> ;33 from the fire department. <br /> Question raised as to limits of hours of operation of shooting galleries. <br /> /34 This is to be checked by the police chief and a report made to the council. <br /> It was pointed out at this time that J. w.
