Hewitt for part of Lot 4, Block 19, <br />Fairmount Addition, was denied by the Finance Committee and upon motion made and <br />seconded, ~ction of the Commi ttee was smaine'd by the Council. <br /> <br />Communication fpom the Clerk of Lane County advising the city of a: bid <br />received by them on Lot 6, Block 2, Harris Addition against which the city has <br />liens, was presented. The Finance Committee recommended that the 'city pay the taxe <br />and upon motion made and seconded, this recommendation was approved. <br /> <br />9 <br />I <br /> <br />Communication from A. C. Mathews requesting redemption of his property' <br />located at 4th and Madison Streets and known as Lot 6 and the ~est one-half of <br />Lot 7, Block 2, Harris Addition in the amount of $1800.00, payable $200_00 cash, <br />$300.00 August 1, 1938 and the balance at the rate of $20.00 per month, plus in- <br />terest, corDLcencin~ June 1, 1938, was accepted on the condition that Mr. Mathews pay <br />$500_00 cash and $25.00 per month, including interest at the rate of 6 per cent. <br />Upon motion made and seconded, the recoIDmendation was duly approved. <br /> <br />The $600.00 cash offer of L. Folsom for Lot 7, Block 9, Sladden's Third <br />Addition, was l'ejected by the Pinance Committee and a counter"':offer of $9'75.00 <br />extended.
