<br /> A request received from Loretta R. Vitus asking for a waiver of the
<br /> j "Set-Back" Ordinance on east Fifth Avenue. As the regular contract covering set-
<br /> babk waivera has been filed, the Board recommends that this request be granted and
<br /> 29 upon motion made and seconded the r'ecommendation was unanimously approved.
<br /> Mrs. Vitus also made an additional reqmst to be permitted to erect a
<br /> storage shed at the rear of the building and extending to the west property 1 ine,
<br /> said shed to be frame construction and covered with corrugated iron, said west
<br /> wall to be constructed of masonry at such time as a building is erected on the
<br /> adjoining property. A majority of the members of the Board recommended that this
<br /> request be denied, but after a discussion motion was made and seconded granting the
<br /> 30~ request and it was so ordered.

<br /> An ordinance initiating the vacation of certain parts of Ferry Street,
<br /> which chad its fir.st reading at the last council meeting, was presented to the
<br /> council for its second reading by title, and under suspension of the rules was
<br /> read the third time by title. The ayes and nays were called, councilmen voting
<br /> . aye: Reid, Bond, Carlson, Hanns, Page and Koppe, nay~ none; absent:: Lamb and
<br /> 33 v. Farr'ington. The ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8618.
