As the <br />application had been approved by the Chief of Police, motion was made and seconded <br />48~ granting the license. <br /> <br />Request from Arthur M. Gilbert requesting a refund for building permit <br />No. 14546 issued for the Eugene Home ApplianceeCompany for repairs. Inasmuch as <br />the work was not done lVIr. Gilbert would appreciate a refund of $2.00 for the permit. <br />The Gity Engineer recommended the refund and motion was made and seconded unanimousli <br />49v approving the recommendation. Rugh asking to change the <br />51 description applying to Ramey Street. The cor@lunication was ordered placed on file. <br /> <br />An ordinance initiating the vacation of certain parts of Ramey Street was <br />presented to the council for its ~irst reading and under suspension of the rules <br />passed to its second and third readings and placed for final passage. The ayes <br />and nays were called, councilmen voting aye: Reid, Hanns, Bond, Farrington, <br />Fred Carlson, Barette and Cox; nay: none; absent: Koppe. The ordinance was declared <br />520/ passed and numbered 8636. <br /> <br />A resolution was presented ordering the Treasurer to refund an additional <br />~~35. 21 to the Union Central Life Insurance Company to account for erroneous assess- <br />ments of paving and sewer on Washington Street.
