<br />Offer of Ralph Arensmeier, $300 cash, for the south 60 feet of Lots 1 and 2,
<br />Block 6, Croners Addition (100 feet south of the Southwest corner of 4th Avenue
<br />and Taylor Street); conditional on FHA Loan was presented. The ]'inance Pornmittee
<br />recommended that the offer be accepted and motion was made and seconded unanimously
<br />I 9/ approving the recommendation of the Finance Committee.

<br />Offer of George Foster, ~~200, $10.00 down and $30.00 within 30 days and the

<br />12 unanimously approving the recomrrlendation of the committee.

<br />As this offer came in after the offer submitted by E. H. Peterson, the Finance
<br />Committee recomraended that the offer be rejected and motion was made and seconded
<br />13/' unanimously approving the recomrrlendation.

<br />I Councilman Farrington requested until the next council meeting to report
<br />on the request of Joe Harrell regarding construction of an additional hangar at the
<br />l~ airport. The request was granted.

<br />Councilman Carlson, chairman of the Street Committee, reported that he had
<br />witnessed a demonstration of one street sweeper and wished to investigate other
<br />.. offers before making a recommendation. Anyway,. funds would not be availa~e unt~l

<br />Councilman Barette, Chairman of the Parks Committee, stated that trees
<br />were still being trimrrred and he wished to inform the members of the council that
<br />16- residents were being consulted before any trimming was done.

<br />Mayor Elisha Large stated that Clarence Simon, representing the veterans
<br />organization, requested a permit from the Common Council to hold the usual
<br />17~ Armistice day parade. Motion was made and seconded unanimously approving the reques .
<br />
<br />[1. Communication was presented from the Board of Appeals presenting a request
<br />from E. F. McBe~ asking for a permit to extend his house at 603 19th Avenue West
<br />/23 feet east to the property line in order to make additional room for the grocery
<br />jstore already operating on the property. As this is in the single family zone
<br />,the Board considers that this addition would make a traffic hazard on a much travele
<br />street and therefor recommends that the request be denied. Motion was made and
<br />18v 'seconded unanimously approving the recommendation of the Board.

<br />I Request was received from W. F. Guske asking for a permit to remodel part of
<br />a house at 414 East 15th Avenue into a small cpartment for the use of his parents,
<br />eventually to be used for rental purposes. The Board recommends th~t the request
<br />be granted on condition that the plans meet the approval of the Building Departlnent.
<br />19'-' Motion was made and seconded unanimously approving the recommendation of the Board.

<br />Request was received from Mr. and Mrs. S~ C. Sunderland asking for permissio
<br />to place the lunch trailer, that was spotted in Skinner Butte Park last summer, on
<br />I the parking lot just south of the Public Market, to be located on the east side of
<br />Charnelton'Street just south of the alley. The Board recorunends that the request
<br />be granted on condition that the trailer be left on its wheels and to be connected
<br />to the sewer. Q,ueBtion was raised concerning the granting of this request by
<br />Councilmen Bond and Reid. Upon motion made and seconded the recoIT.J.mendation of the
<br />, 20/ Board was not upheld and the request was denied.

<br />Communication waS presented from Mrs. Emrr~ Moxley who lives at the corner
<br />of 13th and Olive, complaining that her property is now being used at all times as
<br />a garage for cars and she has no ingress or egress to and from her prope:ty. She wo Id
<br />be very glad to hear from the council as to whether or not she has the r~ght of
<br />
<br />ingress and egress to her ovm property, and if so, how she can enf orce it. The
<br />
