Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS: <br /> <br />A Resolution relative to the Agreement with the United States Government <br />with respect to the release of the airport was presented. Motion by Hawn, <br />seconded by Davis' that the resqlution be ado~ted. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Resolution for hearing of Planning Commission was submitted as follows: <br /> <br />"Be It Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Eugene that thereis <br />hereby ~ransmitted to the Planning Commission of the City pf'Eu@ene a proposal <br />to change the classification of Lot 1, block 7, Fairmount Addition to Eugene <br />Lane County, Oregon, from a single family residence district to' a business <br />district, this' being used now as a used car lot. <br />And directing the Planning Commi$sion to adopt a tentative, report; and to <br />hold a hearing thereon in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of <br />Eugene, on Tuesday the 22nd day of May, 194 5 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. after givin . <br />due dnotice by pUblication once in the Eugene Register Guard, and they shall <br />thereafter make a final r~port and transmit the same to the Council with their <br />recommenda tion." ":", <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />"Whereas, a proposal has been submitted to the City Manager and by him <br />to the Planning Commission and the Common Council, to permit the Seventh Day <br />Adventist Church, for Playground purposes only, to use a strip of property <br />150 feet by 334 ,feet next the Adventist School on 13th Avenue. <br />Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COID~ON COUNCIL of the City of Eugene <br />that the City Nanager and the Mayor be and they are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute a revocable license for use of the property for playground <br />purposes, conditioned that no permanent improvements shall be placed thereon." <br /> <br />Motion by Davis, seconded by Hawn that the resolution be adopted.
