Motion carried. <br /> <br />It was further moved by Koppe, seconded by Hawn that the rules be further sus- <br />pended and the ordinance be given third reading and placed on final passage., All <br />councilmen present voting AYE, the ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8895 <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />I <br />" <br />, <br />, <br /> <br />A resolution -- Re: Directing the City Engineer to survey and make a <br />plat of certain properties for the opening of Tyler Street between 12th and 14th <br />Avenues West, was submitted. and read. <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Eugene: <br />That it is deemed expedient by the Common Council that Tyler Street between ~velft <br />Avenue West and Fourtheenth Avenue West be opened and the City Engineer is there- <br />fore directed by him or some ,competent surveyor to make a survey of such street <br />and to mark the boundary thereof and to make a plat of the same and a written re- <br />port containing a full and complete discription of such street and the boundaries <br />thereof and any lot or tract or portion thereof to be appropriated therefore and <br />to file with the recorder of the City of Eugene within twenty days from the date <br />of this resolution unless further time shall be granted therefor." <br /> <br />43 <br /> <br />It was moved by Hawn, seconded by Davis that the resolution be adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />44 <br /> <br />A resolution from the Eugene Water Board proposing dedication of certain <br />properties for street purposes substituting the same for a vacated portion of <br />Mission Avenue, was submitted and read. <br /> <br />"iJI.THEREAS, There has been presented to the Common Council of the City of <br />Eugene a resolut ion sta ting that the Eugene Water Board in the development of a <br />city reservoir in First Addition to Fairwount Heights in the City has found it <br />necessary to vacate a portion of Mission Avenue and to dedicate to public use a <br />strip of land owned by the City for the use of the Water Board, for the continuation <br /> <br />of Mission Avenue. <br /> <br />~ / <br />
